Whose ants?
In a recent article in the New York Times (August 28, 2007) on a crack-down on supposed biopiracy (what harm can do a scientist if you let cut down hundreds of square kilometers of forest at the same time?), a peculiar twist in the line of denying research permits was cited: "and a researcher’s request to move an ant colony was denied, supposedly because it would cause stress to the insects."
Who knows the details of this story?
Please let me know!
